A New Candidate for the White Cliffs of Dover Council 210
On Monday 23rd of June the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Derek Wilkins and the brethren of the White Cliffs of Dover Council were delighted to welcome three visitors to their regular meeting held at Snargate Street Dover.
The visitors were the District Grand Prefect, R.W.Bro. Brian Ward, W.Bro. Tony Lewis and Bro. Peter Hayler. They had attended the meeting to welcome Bro. Don Heppell being introduced received and admitted as a brother of St Lawrence the Martyr.
Having opened the lodge in due form, ably assisted by his officers the worshipful master dispensed with the early business matters of the lodge with the upmost efficiency. Bro. Heppell was then introduced, received and admitted as a brother of St Lawrence in a first-class ceremony conducted by the worshipful Master, W. Bro. Derek Wilkins, assisted by the Senior Deacon, Bro. Ben Katumba. A magnificent all-encompassing lecture was then delivered in a superb fashion by W.Bro. Roger Odd.
The District Grand Prefect then welcomed Bro. Don into the order and presented him with a letter of welcome into the order, a gridiron lapel pin, the trifold leaflet and an Allied pen.
