Kent Mark Master Masons Provincial Grand Master Joins the Allied Masonic Degrees in Ashford
On Tuesday 31st March at the Ashford Council No.99 of the Allied Masonic Degrees, the Provincial Grand Master of Kent Mark Master Masons, R.W.Bro. Martyn Summers was admitted into the degree of St Lawrence in a fine ceremony along with Paul Settle and John Linkin conducted by W.Bro. Ken Nunn assisted by W.Bro. Steve Davies in the other part of the ceremony.
Our R.W.Bro Martyn thoroughly enjoyed the ceremony stating he encouraged all Mark Master Masons to become members of the companion orders, the Allied being one in particular that requires membership of Mark Master Masonry as a qualification of membership it clearly supports our order in its endeavours.

The festive board, where Martyn was a lucky prize winner, was a busy and enjoyable part of the evening with a key feature being the toast he received to the candidates from his proposer Ivor Spencer, where he was commended for the wealth of experience and value he brings to the order in a speech which can only be described as slick. A great evening had by all.
To top off a wonderful evening, the Ashford Council No. 99 were also pleased to qualify as a Grand Master's Keystone Fund Council. A fantastic achievement!
